Four flagship programmes through which The Ark accompanies individuals and communities from healing into purposeful leadership.

The Heal to Lead Campaign

To accompany women and girls on a holistic wellness journey that enables healing, strengthens resilience, and nurtures confident leadership.

Specific Objectives

  • Provide safe and inclusive wellness and healing spaces for at least 1,200 women and girls.
  • Improve awareness and practice of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual self-care.
  • Strengthen confidence, voice, and leadership identity among women and girls.
  • Build a visible and sustainable women led wellness movement.

Target population

At least 1200 women yearly through the following:

  • HEAL TO LEAD Wellness Conferences (Flagship Events)
  • HEAL Circles (Small Group Wellness Support)
  • Mentorship and Coaching Pathway
  • Campaign Outreach, Media, and Visibility
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

RECLAIM — Integrated Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Programme

To improve mental health, recovery outcomes, and socio-economic reintegration of people affected by drug addiction in Douala.

Specific Objectives

  • Provide comprehensive mental health and addiction services to 300 drug-dependent individuals.
  • Reduce relapse rates through psychosocial rehabilitation and family support.
  • Support economic reintegration through vocational training and livelihood linkages.
  • Strengthen community capacity for sustainable, stigma free mental health care.

Target population

At least 300 drug addicts yearly through the following:

  • Community Outreach & Identification
  • Mental Health & Addiction Care
  • Psychosocial Rehabilitation
  • Livelihood & Reintegration Support
  • Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)

Lesley Mbuagbor Scholarship

To improve access to, retention in, and successful completion of secondary education for vulnerable students in Cameroon.

Specific Objectives

  • Provide comprehensive scholarship support to 100 secondary school students.
  • Reduce school dropout rates among beneficiaries by at least 80%.
  • Improve learners' academic performance through mentorship and monitoring.
  • Strengthen collaboration between schools, parents, and programme staff.

Target population

At least 100 students yearly through the following:

  • Scholarship Award and Financial Support
  • Mentorship and Academic Monitoring
  • Parental and School Engagement
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

Empowerment of Small Businesses and Hawkers

To strengthen the economic resilience and income-generating capacity of small businesses and hawkers through accessible financing, capacity building, and structured business support.

Specific Objectives

  • Provide affordable and appropriate micro-financing (grant) to eligible small businesses and hawkers to expand working capital and business assets.
  • Improve financial literacy and basic business management skills among participants.
  • Deliver ongoing mentorship and monitoring to enhance business performance and protect repayment.
  • Support market access and feasible formalization to improve stability and growth prospects.

Target population

At least 100 hawkers yearly through the following:

  • Access to Finance (Revolving Loans + Targeted Grants)
  • Training and Capacity Building
  • Business Mentorship and Field Support
  • Market Access and Formalization Support

End Results

Healing is a process, wellness is a journey, life does not stop because one is hurting. Purpose can be fulfilled during one's wellness journey.

We want to see those who have been impacted by trauma healed and fulfilling God's purposes for their lives.
